SERVICE DETAILS

Laser hair removal uses laser technology to remove unwanted hair. Laser hair removal is most effective for people with light skin and dark hair because the laser beam targets the pigment, or melanin, in the hair.

During treatment, a laser beam from a hand-held laser goes through the skin and hits an individual hair follicle. The laser’s heat damages the follicle, and that prevents future growth from that follicle. Depending on the type of laser, you may also have a cooling gel applied to your skin first to make it more comfortable.
